CJP likely to take either Suo Motu Notice or hear petition today

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial Sunday summoned senior judges to his residence at Judges Colony for consultation in the wake of the annulment of the no-confidence motion. Later, the country’s top judge arrived at the Supreme Court link.

It was learnt that SC Justice Qazi Faez Isa appealed to Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial to take suo motu link notice link in the current worsening political situation in the country.

Similarly, SC Bar Association President Ahsan Bhoon said that the bar association would file a petition against the cancellation of the no-confidence motion.

The chief justice had reached the apex court. Members of the apex court staff also rushed to the SC building the gates of which have been closed public and lawyers.
