ISTANBUL (Anadolu Agency): Security forces arrested 38 foreign nationals inIstanbul for alleged links to the Daesh terror group, a police source saidon Friday.
Counter-terrorism squads carried out simultaneous raids in 12 addresses insix districts to apprehend suspects who were allegedly preparing for terrorattacks, the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions onspeaking to the media, said.
They also seized many organizational documents and digital equipmentsduring the operations.
Security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to rid Turkeyof Daesh terrorists.
More than 300 people have lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks inTurkey, where the terror group has targeted civilians in suicide bomb,rocket, and gun attacks.
