Indian Army launches massive operations across Occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD – Indian troops launched massive cordon and search operations inall major South and North Kashmir districts on Wednesday.According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS) , the troops during the operationssealed all entry and exit points and conducted door-to-door searches inBandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara, Shopian, Pulwama and Kulgam districts. Theauthorities booked a youth, Aijaz Ahmed, under black law, Public SafetyAct, in south Kashmir and shifted him to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.Besides, India’s National Investigation Agency arrested from Delhi Airporta Kashmiri youth, Nisar Ahmed Tantray.The Government Degree College Ganderbal reverberated with pro-freedom,pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans on the arrival of the pro-IndiaNational Conference President, Farooq Abdullah in the college to address aconvention of party workers. Both male and female students gathered in thecollege campus in large numbers and shouted anti-India slogans.Complete shutdown was observed in Kangan area of Ganderbal district, onthe first martyrdom anniversary of a local salesman, Gowhar Ahmad Rather.He was killed in police action near central Jamia Masjid, Kangan.Meanwhile, Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district remainedshut on Wednesday on the first martyrdom anniversary of a local youth.All shops and other business establishments were closed while the publictransport remained off the roads in the area to pay tribute to Gowhar AhmadRather who was killed in police action on this day last year.
