Propaganda campaign against Imran Khan for hiring Salam Rushdie's lawyer

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has stated this week that it has not appointed anyone as a lawyer to represent its leader Imran Khan in international courts. PTI had previously mentioned on Twitter last Friday that they had obtained the services of British barrister Geoffrey Robertson for their representation in international courts regarding Imran Khan's alleged "unlawful detention and violations of human rights."

However, that tweet is no longer available. PTI's spokesperson, Rauf Hassan, while speaking to Independent Urdu this week, clarified, "We have not hired any lawyer for international courts, nor do we have any intention to do so. There is propaganda being spread in this regard."

The statement seems to address earlier reports suggesting that PTI had engaged legal representation for Imran Khan's cases in international courts, particularly in light of allegations related to his detention and human rights violations.

This clarification from PTI emphasizes that they have not made such a hire and dismisses any notion of intent to do so, suggesting that there may be misinformation or propaganda surrounding this issue.
