ATC gives verdict in Imaan Mazari terrorism Case

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) situated in Islamabad has taken a significant decision by granting bail to Imaan Mazari, a prominent human rights lawyer, in the Terrorism Funding Case. In this pivotal legal development, the ATC in Islamabad meticulously reviewed the bail application submitted by Imaan Mazari, who happens to be the daughter of the former minister, Shireen Mazari.

Presiding over the hearing, Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain meticulously weighed the evidence and arguments presented before him and subsequently rendered a favorable verdict, granting Imaan Mazari bail in the Terrorism Funding Case.

In light of this, the court stipulated a condition for her release, mandating that she furnish a Rs 10,000 surety bond. This legal proceeding revolves around allegations of financial support extended to individuals involved in terrorist activities, and the case itself is officially registered at the Bhara Kahu police station.

Moreover, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, in a succinct two-page written directive, issued an order that effectively shields Imaan Mazari from arrest in any potential new cases that may emerge.

The court's directive, while emphasizing the importance of justice, firmly instructed the Secretary, Inspector General (IG), and Director General (DG) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to refrain from detaining Mazari once she is released from custody. This decision by the ATC marks a crucial milestone in the legal journey of Imaan Mazari and has garnered significant attention within legal and human rights circles
