Islamabad: Ministry of Interior on Wednesday ordered US blogger Cynthia Dawn Ritchie to leave Pakistan within 15 days as her applicant seeking extension in visa has been scrapped by it.
A stern legal action will be given against the US national if she remains reluctant. Her visa has expired on August 31.
The US blogger has been in headlines for levelling derogatory remarks against slain former prime minister Benizair Bhutto and other leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), including Rehman Malik and Yousaf Raza Gilani.
The development comes a day after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday gave a last chance to the interior ministry for satisfying the country in the case of the American national and asked about business visa policy.
