PTA extended deadline of registering IMEI

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has extended the deadline of registering second IMEI by Sept 15, 2019.
Earlier PTA asked all the dual sim, mobile phone users, to register the second IMEI of their phones till Aug 31.
International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a number issued to every mobile phone device. Every dual sim phone has two different IMEI numbers given to it at the time of manufacturing.
PTA has been registering all the mobile phone devices operating in the country, after the first attempt link, they realized that mobile phone users with dual sim capability are only registering one IMEI number of the device. So they started another campaign earlier this month to register the second IMEI number.
