Pakistan to launch 'Clean Green Index' for all major cities

ISLAMABAD - Adviser to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam says 'Clean Green Index' will be launched soon with the aim to shift behavior patterns of people of Pakistan.
He was talking to UNICEF delegation led by Tajudeen Oyelwale in Islamabad on Monday.
He said in the first phase, 20 local governments/ cities of KP and Punjab will be included while in the next phase it will be launched on national scale.
The Adviser said that government will play its leadership role to facilitate other ministries and provincial departments to accomplish the Clean Green Pakistan targets.
He said ministry of climate change and UNICEF's work in partnership has helped in creating an enabling environment both at national as well as at provincial level.
Representative of UNICEF appreciated not only Clean Green Index but also its umbrella project, Clean Green Pakistan Movement. He assured support on the behalf of his organization in order to achieve the targets. Haider/Abid
