Pakistan Rangers and Islamabad Police joint search operations

ISLAMABAD (APP): Islamabad police along with Pakistan Rangers and other security agencies on Friday conducted search operation in various areas of Tarnol and Sihala police stations and arrested 70 suspects besides recovering weapons and ammunition from them.
According to details, officers/officials of Islamabad Police, Pak Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in various areas of Tarnol and Sihala police station including Dore Village, Ittefaq Colony, Pathan Colony, Sihala Bazaar and their adjacent areas.
During the operation, 70 suspects were arrested and more than 35 houses were screened.
Police recovered arms and ammunition from the nabbed persons while all the suspects have been shifted to police stations for further investigation.
SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has said that the purpose of this search operation is to ensure high vigilance in the city and every effort will be made to ensure protection of lives and properties of citizens.
He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
