Kisan cards by Punjab Government for small farmers

FAISALABAD (APP): The Punjab government has decided to issue Kisan cards to small farmers to facilitate them during various subsidy packages.
A spokesman for the agriculture department told here on Friday that Kisan cards would be issued to small farmers who have land up to 12 acres.
The process was being completed and registration for issuance of small cards would be started soon, he added.
He said for registration, teams of agriculture and revenue departments would jointly visit farmers' houses and complete a proforma comprising of information about CNIC of the peasant, his phone number, land, education, ownership etc.
