CPEC: A new era of Pakistan-China friendship

LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said China-Pakistan Economic Corridore (CPEC) will change the destiny of whole the region.
This he said while meeting a delegation of China State Construction International Corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that relations between Pakistan and China were strengthening day by day and investment package of 46 billion dollars by China was a splendid gift for Pakistan.
He said that under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) work was being forwarded speedily across Pakistan including Punjab.
He said that under the CPEC, journey of progress of the country and prosperity of the masses had been started.
Shehbaz Sharif said that projects of CPEC were game changer for Pakistan, adding, "The CPEC is a guarantee to our progress and prosperity, which is being implemented round the clock."
A new era of Pak-China friendship had usher in as a result of CPEC projects and these projects would change the destiny of the region including Pakistan.
He said that CPEC was not a package of 46 billion dollars but reflective of unprecedented Pak-China friendship and a proof of sincere love of Chinese leadership with Pakistan.
President and Prime Minister of China as well as Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had played a commendable role in giving a practical shape to CPEC projects, he added.
The Chief Minister said that besides energy projects, infrastructure projects were also necessary for rapid development and the government was providing all out facilities to Chinese brothers and sisters working on these projects.
The delegation was led by Chief Executive Overseas Operation Chen Wenjian.
