Automatic Weather Stations network to be enhanced

GILGIT: (APP) Gilgit-Baltistan Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Pakistan Meterological Department (PMD) has signed an MoU in the office of Secretary Forest, Wildlife and Environment to extend the Automatic Weather Stations network from 7 to 17.
PMD will install 8 new stations and EPA, 2 AWS which enable to acquire weather data for research purpose on weather and climate change and also in early warning of hydro-meterological disasters.
