According to insider reports, Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and former prime minister, has made arrangements to return to Pakistan. Nawaz Sharif, who has been entangled in multiple legal cases, departed for London in December 2019 on medical grounds after receiving permission from the Lahore High Court to travel abroad for a limited period. The cases against him include the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Avenfield, Al-Azizia, Hill Metal, and the Flagship references.
Sources indicate that the former premier is scheduled to make his return to Pakistan on October 21st, taking a connecting flight. His arrival is anticipated at Abu Dhabi International Airport, with a subsequent flight to Lahore planned for the same day.
It has been revealed that Nawaz Sharif's business class ticket for flight 243 of a private airline has been reserved, and he is expected to touch down at Lahore Airport at 6:25 PM.
The return of Nawaz Sharif has been a topic of significant discussion, and even his brother, Shehbaz Sharif, recently confirmed that there have been no alterations to the planned return, emphasizing that the PML-N leader is set to land in Pakistan on October 21st. This return marks a pivotal moment in Pakistan's political landscape and is anticipated to have far-reaching implications.
