Saudi Air Force to put on joint aerobatic performance in airshow in China’s Guangdong province

BEIJING: The Saudi Hawks, the Royal Saudi Air Force will participate in China’s major airshow and put on a joint aerobatic performance in the event to be held in Zhuhai, South China’s Guangdong province in the next month.
Pakistan Air Force and China’s Air Force will also take part in the event, according to a report published in ‘China Military’ on Monday.
The executive board of China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) in Zhuhai, south China's Guangdong Province, inked the deal with Saudi air force to put on a joint aerobatic performance during the event, which will also involve Chinese and Pakistani air forces.
The Saudi Hawks are equipped with seven Hawk MK 65A trainers. The team was established in 1998 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Saudi Arabia in 1999. It earned a Guinness world record for drawing the largest Saudi national emblem with smoke in the air.
The team's display will have two sections: the first part will see the team's seven planes flying in close formation and end with their signature move of creatingthe Kingdom's emblem, and the second part will show pilots demonstrating difficult skills and manoeuvres.
A total of 43 countries and regions have confirmed their participation in this year's Airshow China.
The event is expected to receive more than 130,000 visitors and nearly 200 military and political delegations from over 60 countries.
