On Friday, the JUI-F chief had demanded that the prime minister to resign within two days.
“I give this government two days to resign… we want state institutions to be impartial and withdraw their support to this illegitimate government," said the JUI-F chief while addressing the rally.
The major opposition parties including Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz also attended the rally and addressed the protesters. However, the PML-N have refused to take part in the sit-in announced by the JUI-F.
