BUNER: Police mobile party comes under indiscriminate firing from the armed militants.
The armed militants opened indiscriminate firing on night patrolling party of Pir Baba Police at Balokhan village on night between Thursday and Friday, in a result constable Zahirullah was received bullet injury.
He was shifted to DHQ hospital Daggar from where he referred to Peshawar for better health care facilities, District police spokesperson confirmed.
Police spokesman told media that the police party was on routine patrolling in the area when it came under firing from armed militants.
The police party quickly responded with heavy gunshots but the militants escaped by taking advantage of dark and thick forests, police spokesman added. District police forces were dashed to cordon off the area and started search and strike operation.
The Commander Malakand Task Force Brigadier AamirRashed and district police officer Suhail Khalid with forces visited the site and supervise operation against absconding militants, police spokesman asserted.
The army and police officers asked local people for keeping vigilant eyes on movements of militants and inform police timely for timely action against them.
They assured locals that police and army personnel were chasing armed militants and soon the militants will have to leave this area or to face law enforcement agencies.
