Islamabad: The government’s negotiating team met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Bani Gala to discuss the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F)-led Azadi March.
According to details, PM Imran Khan has instructed the negotiating team to hold dialogue with opposition. PM said that undemocratic and unconstitutional demands would not be accepted.
The committee members also apprised PM on the existing political situation related to Azadi March.
Earlier, the committee members held a meeting at Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani’s house after which Sanjrani contacted PPP’s leader Nayyar Bukhari to discuss prospects of a meeting.
PPP leader Nayyar Bukhari said he would consult other members of the body.
Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has also contacted ANP leader Mian Iftikhar and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif separately.
On the other hand, opposition’s Rahbar committee will also hold an important meeting today to discuss the future strategy related to Azadi March.
