Sri Lankan President lifts suspension of parliament

Sri Lanka's President Maithripala Sirisena has lifted the suspension of Parliament and summoned a meeting of the legislature on Monday to end the current political stalemate in the country.

The move came in wake of mounting international pressure on Sri Lanka to resolve the political crisis, which was emerged due to sudden sacking of Ranil Wickremesinghe as prime minister.
