Karakorum Highway blocked for traffic b/w GB, Rawalpindi after landslides

The Karakorum Highway has been blocked for all type of traffic between Gilgit-Baltistan and Rawalpindi after it was hit by landslides at eight points in lower Kohistan.
Our Gilgit correspondent Sher Muhammad reports that intermittent rain and snowfall over the hills has been continuing in GB since last night.
Inclement weather has also disrupted two scheduled national Airline flights to Gilgit from Islamabad.
