Chinese citizens security is not satisfactory in Punjab: Home Department
LAHORE: While expressing its dissatisfaction over the security of Chinese citizens in 10 District of Punjab, Punjab Home Department has issued directives to relative police officers to ensure the foolproof security of Chinese citizens.
According to the letter issued by Home Department expressed its concerns over the security measures of Chinese citizens who are in association with ongoing developmental projects in Punjab.
Over 5 thousand Chinese citizens are working in Punjab on 79 developmental projects while more than 9 thousands security personnel have been deployed for their security.
For the security of experts and workers, belong to China 462 Pak Army and 42 FC personnel have been deployed by government while 323 Rangers and 1,413 police officials are providing security to Chinese citizens.
59 personnel of Special Branch and 302 militant guards are also have been deployed on the security of Chinese.
Home Department Punjab issued a letter to relevant security officers stating that security of 96% developmental projects in Punjab is not satisfactory and poor so District Police Officers should take concrete measures in order to ensure the security of Chinese and developmental projects.
