Six key commanders of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed and over two dozen others injured in a bomb blast in Afghan province of Khost.
Among the dead terrorist commanders were Abdul Manan, Alam Khan Mudakhel, Kajir and three other unknown terrorists.
The injured terrorists were identified as Commander Fazl Amin, Commander Muhammad alias Toofan, Commander Noor Payo Khan, Faqirullah, Turzai, Sat Kae, Ali Sat Khan, Zubair, Hijratullah, Kamal, Sher Afzal, Bakhtullah, Zubihullah and two unknown terrorists.
After the IED blast, there was a wave of disillusionment and dissension in the TTP leadership. It is being said in TTP circles that the problems for the militant Tehrik have multiplied after the recent visit of a Pakistan government delegation to Kabul.
Suspicion about the senior leadership of the TTA grew among the lower-level TTP terrorists. These incidents are a clear sign of increasing intelligence ingress within the TTP.
According to the sources, in a separate incident, the in-charge of TTP's Umar Media Group, Makram Harasani, was also seriously injured.
