PM’s gesture for releasing Indian pilot to have positive impact on Indo-Pak relations: Afridi

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Shahryar Afridi on Thursday expressed the hope that the announcement of Prime Minister Imran Khan for releasing Indian Air Force pilot would have positive impact on the overall situation of India and Pakistan.
Talking to a private news channel, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s announcement at this critical juncture, a step forward for peace between the two nations.
Commenting on current tense situation emerged after the Indian Air Force violations in the territory of Pakistan, he said a strong message had been conveyed to the world community at the forum of parliament that the entire Pakistani nation was united.
He said that unfortunately, Indian leader Narendra Modi had been doing politics for his personal gains. The south Asian region having one and half billion population, could not bear war, he said.
Afridi said that the people of nuclear states could not afford war hysteria created by the Indian prime minister for doing personal politics.
To a question about the measures taken by the incumbent leader of PTI government, Shahryar Afridi said:”We are engaged with Saudi Arabia, UAE and Turkey and hoped that everything would be normal in days to come.
He said that announcement for releasing Indian pilot by Prime Minister Imran Khan, had opened a great debate there while a public pressure was also being observed in the war mongering neighboring state.
To another question, he said that we are fully confident that a better sense would prevail after the visit of Saudi foreign minister.
He urged all the parliamentarian to exhibit such a unanimity for rising a powerful state in the world.
