8 infants die in government hospitals after Air Conditioner failure

SAHIWAL - In a hapless incident in Sahiwal on Sunday, eight infants died in Sahiwal’s District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) after air conditioner halted functioning amid extreme weather conditions.
The relatives of the deceased staged protest and blocked Sahiwal-Lahore road.
On the other hand, a spokesperson for Punjab Health Ministry stated that a committee had been constituted to investigate the incident.
The spokesperson added that committed has been instructed to present its report at earliest after a thorough probe into the matter.
After the hapless incident, the administration of DHQ has installed a new AC.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal stated that residents were outraged over unfortunate incident and were raising slogans against the administration.
