Pakistan to raise drone attacks issue in International Human Rights Commission

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to PM Nawaz on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz said that Pakistan is desirous to promote peace in the region however drone attacks have severely affected peace process so Pakistan has decided to raise the issue before International Human Rights Commission.

While addressing here at today in Senate, Sartaj Aziz made it clear that drone attacks posed threat to the national sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan and affecting reconciliation process.

Rejecting the reports regarding delay in foreign ministry respond over the drone attack in Baluchistan, Sartaj Aziz explained that there was no pressure on Pakistan in this regard as US Ambassador David Hale was summoned by Pakistan after the incident and Pakistan staged protest while Interior Minister Ch. Nisar held a formal press conference to explain Pakistan stance.

Country defense, security and integrity are the first priority of government while firm stance has always been taken by present government over the issue, Foreign advisor elaborated drone attack is the main hurdle in the process of dialogues.

He stated that Pakistan is desirous to promote peace in the region but peace is necessary in Afghanistan in this regard.
