Advanced satellite flood warning radar system made operational over River Chenab

ISLAMABAD - Advanced satellite flood warning radar system has been made operational at Head Marala Barrage over River Chenab near Sialkot.
Senior officials Irrigation Department said the advanced satellite flood warning radar system had full capacity to issue flood warning about 36 hours before the flood.
They said the system would also be helpful in saving the villages along the banks of River Chenab and Bela Areas from flood
