Major Langlands landed in India as part of the British army and then lived in the heart of Punjab. He had a long teaching career in Pakistan.

Major Langlands was responsible for the education of many big names in Pakistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan, PTI MPA Aleem Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and a number of other high-profile personalities in the country were taught by him at Aitchison.
