Cipher Case hearing against Imran Khan held inside Adiala Jail

The Official Secrets Act's special court, tasked with handling the cipher case, adjourned the hearing at Adiala jail this Saturday without any proceedings. The case revolves around a diplomatic document, as per the Federal Investigation Agency's charge sheet, which alleges that Imran failed to return it.

The PTI asserts that the document contains a threat from the United States to remove Imran as the prime minister.

In today's hearing, the only notable attendees were former premier and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, along with former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

The legal representation included Imran Khan's counsels, Prosecutor Shah Khawar, Advocate Zulgarnain Abbas Naqvi, Special Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi, and FIA's legal team.

Surprisingly, Imran Khan was once again absent from the cipher case hearing. Media personnel and the public were prohibited from entering the courtroom, creating an atmosphere of restricted access. However, the presence of PTI chairman's wife, Bushra Bibi, as well as his sisters and family members of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, was noted in the courtroom.
