Unidentified motorcyclists targeted two policemen during routine checking on Saidpur road.
Head constable Arif and constable Wajid were taken to Rawalpindi’s Holy Family hospital where Arif breathed his last.
A heavy contingent of police has reached the spot and the investigation is underway.
