Osama Bin Laden died in Afghanistan in December 2001 and not in Pakistan in 2011: US Analyst

WASHINGTON - An American academic, political commentator and scholar says former US President Barack Obama is “either wildly detached from reality or lying through his teeth,” while talking about Osama bin Laden and terrorism.
Dr. Kevin Barrett made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Friday while commenting on a speech made by Obama at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit — an annual meeting of business tycoons, world leaders and Nobel laureates — in New Delhi.
Speaking at the event, the former US president said Pakistan did not know the whereabouts of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, and that Washington does not distinguish between terrorist groups which target India and those that target the United States.
“Obviously every government does take a primary interest in so-called terrorist groups that target it. The term terrorist though is very confusing and Obama may have been playing with the lack of clarity in that term. The true meaning of terrorism is 'intentionally targeting civilians,'” Dr. Barrett said.
Commenting on the issue of Bin Laden, Dr. Kevin, who has been studying the events of 9/11 since late 2003, said this whole issue was an elaborate charade and that the al-Qaeda leader died in December 2001 in Afghanistan, not in May 2011 in Pakistan.
Obama will never tell the truth “about Bin Laden,” the scholar said.
When asked whether the Pakistani government knew that Bin Laden was kept under house arrest right next door to its military headquarters in Abbottabad, Obama said that "we had no evidence that Pakistan was aware of his presence — that is something that we looked at."
“Quite nonsense,” Dr. Barrett said. “According to Seymour Hersh, the Pakistani government had Bin Laden under house arrest since 2006. The United States government had to have known about it, (leaders) including Obama would have known about it, if that’s true.”
“And, we don’t know whether Hersh is right or wrong. It is also quite conceivable that that (Hersh’s version) is a cover story, and Osama actually died in 2001, according to reports in Egyptian and Pakistani newspapers,” he stated.
“But in any case Obama is obviously telling official lies even though he is now out of office—just as Trump is continuing to lie while he is in office. The United States’ leadership is a bunch of psychopathic liars, and we need a revolution,” noted Dr. Barrett, a founding member of the Scientific Panel for the Investigation of 9/11.
