Spain keen to assist Pakistan in renewable energy: Spanish Envoy  

RAWALPINDI: (APP) Spain can provide assistance in renewable energy sector especially in wind power to resolve the issue of energy crisis, Spanish envoy Carlos Morales during his visit to Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) here Thursday said.

The ambassador said tourism has 11 per cent GDP and Pakistan could benefit from it.

He said Spain is a fast growing economy and is among the 10th largest investor in the world.

The envoy thanked the chamber members for inviting him and said Spain is eager to increase the trade volume in renewable energy, infrastructure, agro, engineering, textile, gem and jewelry, leather and marble sectors.

Speaking on the occasion RCCI President Raja Amir Iqbal said that current bilateral trade volume between the two countries is around 900 million, adding, we need cooperation and assistance from Spain in auto industry.
