Ramzan moon sighted in Pakistan, April 3 as first fasting day

The Ramazan crescent moon was sighted in Pakistan Saturday and the believers will observe Sunday (April 3) as the first fasting day of the holy month.
Ramazan crescent was sighted in many parts of the country including Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi.
The formal announcement was made by Chairman Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad who chaired the committee meeting that was attended by Peshawar's zonal committee members and officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Science and Technology, Met Department and SUPARCO.
The Ramazan crescent moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia as well as the other Gulf States on Friday. The crescent moon of Ramazan 1443/ 2022 was seen in multiple locations in Saudi Arabia.
Other countries where the holy month of Ramazan began Saturday include Australia and Egypt.
