China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project challenged in Lahore High Court today

LAHORE: China Pakistan Economic Corridor project has been challenged in Lahore High Court here at today (Saturday).

 

As per details, petition was moved in Lahore HC by advocate AK Dogar, taking plea that CPEC project is being constructed with heavy external debts while Coal Power Projects, launched under CPEC are also against national interest.

 

The petitioner requested court in its plea for issuing order to stop CPEC project till 1 billion dollar guarantee of China to Pakistan.

 

It is also worthy to mention here that highways and power houses are being constructed from China to Gwadar under CPEC project to provide better facilities to investors in Pakistan and China.
