ISLAMABAD – In a strong worded reaction to earlier US accusations, thePakistan Army spokesman, Major General Asif Ghafoor has asserted that theaid Pakistan received from Washington was “reimbursement for supportIslamabad gave to the coalition for its fight against Al Qaeda, RadioPakistan has reported.

During a media briefing, he emphasized that had Pakistan not supported theUS and Afghanistan, they would never have been able to defeat Al Qaeda.
