Mohammad Rizwan withdraws from the Big Bash League

Prominent wicket-keeper batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, has made the unexpected decision to withdraw from the highly anticipated Big Bash League (BBL), mere days prior to the upcoming draft scheduled for Sunday. As per credible media sources, Rizwan was poised to be one of the premier selections in the draft, designated as a platinum-grade player. This draft, a pivotal event in Australian cricket, is slated to unfold on September 3.

Nonetheless, Rizwan's participation in the BBL became a matter of contention due to his national team commitments in the initial phase of the league. These commitments have thrown a wrench into his availability for the BBL, ultimately prompting his withdrawal.

The Big Bash League draft encompasses a vast pool of 376 overseas players hailing from 29 cricketing nations, contributing to the league's international allure. Notably, 76 cricketers from Pakistan have also enlisted for this consequential draft. Among these, recognized Pakistani talents such as Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Hasnain are poised to be a part of the player selection process for the 13th edition of the league.

Noteworthy is the fact that several of these Pakistani players, including Asif Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, and Haris Rauf, have previously showcased their cricketing prowess by representing various franchises within the league. This speaks to the growing influence and talent export from Pakistan to the Big Bash League, solidifying the league's reputation as a global cricketing platform
