ISLAMABAD - The members of Organisation of Kashmir Coalition have drawn attention of British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, towards Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir.
In a letter submitted to office of UK Prime Minister, OKC members including Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, Mohammed Saleem, Shaista Safi and Nazar Lodhi said August 5 is a black day in the constitutional history of India as it repealed Articles 370 and 35A of its constitution which gave special status to Kashmir and its residents.
They wrote, this act is illegal, unconstitutional and legislative terrorization and abrogation of Article 35A is intended to demolish the Kashmir’s identity and bring a demographic change.
The OKC members urged the Britain to impress upon Indian government to end current blockade with utter commitment for the promotion and protection of all Kashmiris.
They also demanded the visit of a fact-finding international commission to the locked Kashmir to take stock of existential realities.
