National Beach Games by Sindh Olympics Association

LAHORE: (APP) The inaugural edition of National Beach Games will be organized by Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) from September 18-20 at Sea View, Karachi and as many as one dozen disciplines have been included in it.
The events to be contested during the three-day premier activity are Archery (M&W), Aquatic/Swimming (M&W), Basketball (M&W), Bodybuilding (M), Handball (M&W), Ju-Jitsu (M&W), Kabaddi (M), Rowing (M), Rugby (M), Sailing (M&W),Volleyball (M&W) and Wrestling (M).
Secretary, Pakistan Olympic Association ,Muhammad Khalid Mahmood said here on Wednesday that apart from the 12 sports events, four Demonstration Sports namely, Malakhra (M) Sepaktakraw (M&W), Tug of War (M) and Soccer (W) have also been included.
He said the players whose final entries for the 5th Asian Beach Games have been sent to the Organizing Committee and their training camps have already been established will not be eligible to represent their Department/Organization in the 1st National Beach Games. As such there will be no break in the national training camps organized by the Federations/PSB for the 5th Asian Beach Games which are scheduled from September 24 to October 3, 2016 at Danang, Vietnam.
The strength of Provincial contingents for participation in the forthcoming 1st National Beach Games is as under to be read as athletes, team officials Punjab 50, 5, Balochistan 50 , Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 50, 5, Sindh 50,5 Other Associations, FATA, 20 , 3,Islamabad, 20 ,3, Special Invitation, AJK 20, 3 and Gilgit-Baltistan, 20, 3.
