British soil should not be used against Pakistan; Rabbani asks Lord Speaker  

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The Chairman, Senate of Pakistan, Mian Raza Rabbani met the Lord Speaker of the House of Lords, London on Thursday at Westminster.

Lord Fowler, the Lord Speaker assumed office Today and the Chairman, Senate of Pakistan's meeting with him was his first official engagement, said a press release received here.

Both sides discussed mutual cooperation between both Houses and greater exchange of Parliamentary information and procedures.

Chairman Senate spoke of the importance of Parliamentary diplomacy in building and strengthening relationship between Pakistan and the UK.

He also spoke of exchange of delegation of members of Parliament. The Chairman invited the Lord Speaker to visit Pakistan in the near future.

The Chairman Senate drew the attention of the Lord Speaker to the blatant violation of human rights in Indian held Kashmir he spoke of the hundreds of deaths and injuries to the innocent civilians.

He highlighted the use of the pellet bullet as a result of which hundreds of children have lost their sight. He reiterated the implementation of the UN Resolutions.

The Chairman, also pointed out that British soil should not be allowed to be used for the export of violence in Pakistan.
