B2B meetings between Chinese & Pakistani Businessmen held

LAHORE (APP): The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has drawn the attention of foreign investors towards Pakistan as it is a game changer and the world has realized it.
LCCI Vice President Nasir Saeed stated this, while talking to a 11-member Chinese delegation led by Zhao Michael Shu here at Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Wednesday.
Chairman Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) Muzaffar Khawaja, LCCI Executive Committee members Mian Abdul Razzaq and Kamal Mahmood Amjad Mian also spoke on the occasion.
Members of the Chinese delegation from energy, construction, environmental protection, equipment manufacturing, trade and logistics sectors also had B2B meeting with their Pakistani counterparts and pledged to give momentum to the two-way trade through joint ventures.
LCCI Vice President said that ongoing projects under the CPEC and unmatched pace of work for timely completion were inspiring the Chinese business community to consider Pakistan for expanding trade and investment relations. It is encouraging to see that public and private sectors from both countries are actively engaged in policy consulting, technology exchange, market networking, investment consulting and brand recognition etc.
He said the government of Pakistan was trying its level best to facilitate the foreign investors to do business here and had ensured that transfer of their funds and profits is easily carried out. The provincial governments along with the federal government were taking all possible steps to increase foreign investment in the country. In this situation, the Chinese companies can benefit the most by interacting with the local chambers.
Head of delegation said the China-Pak Economic Corridor was an overall cooperation platform with a focus on the long-term development of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
