The deadline for filing tax returns for the current financial year has been extended. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had previously set the last date for submitting income tax returns as September 30th.
According to sources, 1.9 million individuals have filed their tax returns. Now, the deadline for filing tax returns has been extended. The FBR has issued a notification regarding the extension of the date for collecting income tax returns.
According to the notification, the deadline for filing tax returns has been extended until October 31st.
The FBR stated that the extension in the date for collecting tax returns was made upon the request of commercial entities and the Tax Bar Association.
