Chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf hints at new name of Pakistan Cricket team coach

Chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf has said, "Babar Azam is a great player with a big name. I am impressed by his abilities. The World Cup is currently ongoing, and all our prayers are with the team."

He mentioned that the Pakistan team is playing with full strength and determination. When they return, they will sit with experts and Babar Azam to work on improvements and prepare for the future.

Zaka Ashraf also mentioned that the team is currently playing, and they will see what happens next.

He said that Mohammad Yousuf is a renowned name and has served Pakistan well. However, he didn't have the option to choose the team's coaches. Micky Arthur was placed in charge during Najam Sethi's tenure, and removing him would have harmed PCB's reputation.

Zaka Ashraf stated that Micky Arthur had promised to stay with the team during the World Cup. Changes in the captain and coaching staff will be considered after the World Cup.

In response to a question, the Chairman of the PCB Management Committee stated that he has no role in central contracts, and players' categories depend on their performance. They will do what is best for Pakistan cricket.
