Afghan Taliban face setback in Russian conference

Kazan: A conference held in the Russian city of Kazan has demanded the swift formation of a comprehensive government inclusive of all groups in Afghanistan from the Afghan Taliban.
According to details, an announcement of the assembly in Kazan, Russia, regarding the situation in Afghanistan has been issued, in which it is emphasized that a comprehensive government inclusive of all groups should be formed in Afghanistan soon.
During the conference, Russia expressed concerns about the increasing involvement of non-regional elements in Afghanistan, with a special Russian representative stating that the Taliban have been ineffective in countering terrorist groups, especially ISIS.
Representatives from China, India, Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran participated in the conference under the Moscow format.
The Kazan conference's statement further stated that all hideouts of terrorist groups in Afghanistan should be eliminated, and respect for women's rights along with human rights should also be ensured.
