KP government achieves highest ever revenue collection target

PEAHAWAR - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Department has achieved highest ever revenue target of one-hundred and three percent during last fiscal year.

Addressing a news conference in Peshawar on Tuesday afternoon, Provincial Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai said the department has collected revenue of three point five billion rupees.

He said narcotics worth one point eight billion rupees were also seized besides arresting of more than one-hundred and fifty smugglers.

The Minister said the government is launching new initiatives including introduction of smart card and GIS- Based digitization of property tax to facilitate people.

Answering a question, Information Minister clarified the cost of BRT project has not increased from twenty-nine billion rupees.

To another question, Shaukat Yousafzai said those doctors who are not ready to serve public, should resign.
