Pakistani armed forces always ready to protect religion, nation: President IIUI

ISLAMABAD: Armed Forces of Pakistan are the pride of entire Muslim World which always remain ready for the protection of religion and the nation.

This was said by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousef Al Draiweesh, President, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) on the occasion of concluding ceremony of 34th Islamic Orientation Program (IOP) for the Officers of Armed Forces of Pakistan, said a press release issued here.

This one month long Islamic Orientation Program was organized by the Dawah Academy of the University. As many as twenty participants from Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy participated in the Islamic Orientation Program.

During the one month IOP, different sessions included, Quran, Sirah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Character Building, Meaning and Methodology of Da’wah, Qur’an an Introduction, Islamic Personality and Spiritual Development, Power Potential of Muslim Ummah, Purpose of Life, Human Behavior and interaction, Islam and Secularism, Islam and Terrorism, Islam and the West, Misunderstandings about Islam, Concept of Leadership in Islam, Time and Personality Management, Islamic Culture and Civilization, Islamic System of Economics, Concept of Knowledge in Islam, Fehm-e-Iqbal, Iqbal’s Concept of Pakistan.

Dr. Al Draiweesh said that provision of education in the light of teachings of Islam is the primary vision of the University.
He stressed upon the unity of entire Muslim world to counter the prevailing challenges and said that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony and this message must reach to all corners of world whereas International Islamic University Islamabad is performing its pivotal role in this regard.

Director General, Dawah Academy, Dr. Sohail Hassan thanked IIUI President for joining the concluding ceremony and vowed that the academy would keep pursuing its objective of dissemination of peace. He also highlighted the objectives of the course among the course participants. Earlier, Dr. Abdul Fareed Brohi, Course Coordinator also addressed the ceremony. At the end course participants were awarded course completion certificates.
