5 Million housing project: Important developments made

*ISLAMABAD - Important developments have been made in the flagship 5 million housing project of the PTI government.*
*5 million Housing Project’ will be launched in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in the initial phase, as the project is all set to officially launch in the coming days.*
Iftikhar Durrani, special assistant to the prime minister on media, has stated that the housing project will be launched in Punjab and KP provinces where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has its governments in place.
“Once the project sets in motion, we will ask governments in the other two provinces [Sindh and Baluchistan] to become part of it,” he said, quoted *Arab News*.
The official further said that the government will provide basic infrastructure including land, roads, electricity and other amenities to local and foreign investors to build the residential units for the housing project.
“The most important component of the project is land and the government will provide this to investors,” he said. “The project will help revolutionize our economy and industry, besides creating job opportunities for skilled and non-skilled workers.”
Prime Minister Imran Khan will formally launch the ‘05 million Housing Project’ during the first half of the next month and the process of registration will also commence with the launch of the project.
