Talking to APP on Saturday, Senior Adviser and Grievance Commissioner for Overseas Pakistanis Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmed Khokhar said the facility would be extended to those countries having population of over 100,000 Overseas Pakistanis.

He said the the complaints via Skype would be heard for the countries where community welfare attaches had been appointed to resolve their problems in the minimum time possible.

The community welfare attaches after receiving the complaints of OPs would forward the same online to the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat while the Ombudsman Secretariat then forward them to the relevant departments to respond within 15 days, he added.

The date and time for listening the complaints on Skype, he said, would be decided and all the relevant officials would be called at the Ombudsman Secretariat to hear the proceedings.

Overseas Chinese role in development of Pakistan

Using Skype for contacting and resolving expat's complaints is a cost and time effective measure and is bound to bring improvements to the process, he said.

This initiative, he said, would help expatriate Pakistanis the world over, saving them unnecessary hassles, time and money in resolving some common issues faced by them.
