COAS Asim Munir holds important meeting with President of Azerbaijan

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir visited Azerbaijan, where he met with H.E Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations.
The purpose of COAS Munir's official visit was to strengthen military-to-military cooperation and defense collaboration between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. This visit aimed to further the strong bond between these two brotherly nations.
Throughout his visit, the army chief held discussions with various key figures in Azerbaijan's defense establishment, including the defense minister, 1st deputy minister, Chief of General Staff, and the Commander of the Azerbaijan Air Force.
During these meetings, COAS Munir emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the fields of defense and training. He commended the high morale and outstanding operational readiness of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
Azerbaijan's political and military leadership expressed their gratitude for Pakistan's continued support and expressed a commitment to elevate mutual cooperation between their countries and armed forces to new heights.
As part of his visit, COAS Munir was warmly welcomed at the General Staff Headquarters and presented with a Guard of Honour. Additionally, he paid his respects by laying a floral wreath at the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.
