Turkey has started work to acquire latest conventional military hardware.
In a statement, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey is making its first domestically produced long-range air defense missile system and its first delivery is planned in 2021.
Turkey is also purchasing S-400 surface-to-air missiles from Russia.
