Sri Lanka's president to reconvene parliament

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena will reconvene parliament.

Addressing a meeting in Colombo, newly appointed Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said Sri Lankan President had earlier prorogued the parliament till 16 of this month but political parties and foreign powers urged an earlier session to resolve the crisis.
