IG Islamabad transfer: SC accepts Ch. Fawad explanation

The Supreme Court has accepted the explanation given by federal Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain regarding his statement yesterday on the issue of transfer of Inspector General Police Islamabad.
Three member bench headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar directed the Federal Minister for Science and Technology Azam Swati to file details of his and his children's assets.
The bench also summoned the affected family and police officials on Friday.
The bench indicated that it might constitute a joint investigation team to probe the matter.
Additional Attorney General informed the bench that Islamabad police Chief Jan Mohammad could not appear due to law and order situation in the city.
