Karachi city council meeting postponed sine die amid rumpus

KARACHI: The meeting of the Karachi City Council was postponed for an indefinite period soon after its start on Tuesday.
The opposition members raised a hue and cry while the agenda was being presented, turning the House a fish market. They also tore the copies of the agenda.
They chanted slogans against Mayor Waseem Akhtar and as a result, his supporters also chanted slogans in his favor.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Waseem Akhtar said that the opposition should hire a tutor if it did not know the law.
He declared the estranged Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra as his brother.
Karamullah Waqas, the opposition leader, accused Waseem Akhtar of loot.
Meanwhile, unknown people displayed banners on the KMC building against Waseem Akhtar.
